Volunteer
Since our inception, Jewish Family Service has been fueled by the incredible passion and dedication of our volunteers. We are always looking for more volunteers to help us to continue our services and programs in the community. Volunteers tell us that they often find that the experience is often just as meaningful and rewarding for them personally as it is for the individuals receiving services, if not more.
By donating your time and becoming a volunteer, you are able to give the unique gift of connecting with your own community members and making a difference. We are so grateful to our active volunteers that help make our programs possible. Our volunteers donate their time in a variety of way, including:
Provide a ride for a neighbor no longer able to drive to their medical appointments or to other destinations in the community
Go grocery shopping for neighbors who are home bound
Assist in our KidsConnect program
Offer a friendly visit to a neighbor in need
Help serve people with intellectual developmental disabilities through our Roots program
Serve on the agency’s advisory board
Provide clerical assistance in our Middletown office
Join our Board of Directors
Provide reassuring telephone calls
